Jenn Merritt, CPDT-KA has been a professional dog trainer for over 15 years and owns Blue Dog Creature Coaching in Burlington, Ontario. Jenn follows the principles and ethics of science based, positive reinforcement dog training. These techniques are based on the science of learning theory and incorporate the latest research on how animals learn and cognition, taking into account each animal’s emotional state without intimidation, confrontation, violence, or domination. Jenn joins national certified dog trainers through accreditation by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. She is also a professional member of the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers, a Guild certified Tellington TTouch Companion Animal Practitioner and a licensed Family Paws Parent Educator. Jenn is a Maxwell Medallion nominated author by the Dog Writers Association of America and her articles have been featured in the APDT Chronicle of the Dog journal, DogFancy, and, most recently in the book, "The Dog Trainer's Resource, Volume 3."
