Jenn and I knew the time would come. We’d get so darn busy with creating new products and running Good Dog, that we wouldn’t be able to keep up with the blog all by ourselves. Well, that time has come. We officially need help!
But that’s where our ever growing community comes in. We’ve connected with some fabulous people in the dog and pet care industry over the last year and we’re really excited to now call a whole bunch of them friends. Because of the reward based dog training products and subscriptions Good Dog is selling, it’s attracted a lot of like minded customers and readers to our blog. So, I’ve officially put out the call for guest bloggers.
If you are a positive reinforcement dog trainer, veterinarian, groomer, pet sitter, breeder, or pet industry professional that promotes reward based training techniques, then we’d love to hear from you. Even if you’re not a regular blogger, if you have experience and expertise to share with our community, we’ve got open ears. If you’re not a professional in the dog world, but you love dogs and have a story to tell, we’d like to hear from you too.
The Good Dog Blog is looking for articles about reward based training, dog health, dog care, dog events, dog news, dog people that do amazing things, dogs that do amazing things, etc. We’re also looking for a “roving reporter” or team of “roving reporters” who can cover dog events and things going on in the dog world. Posts can be humorous (we like funny) or serious in nature. Feel good articles are definitely of interest.
Topics We’d Love to See:
Our only stipulation is that your website, social media, and online ramblings MUST be reward based in philosophy and practice. If you’re using or promoting choke chains and shock collars, our reader is not your audience. Jenn will be reviewing all the articles and writers, and we will firmly stand by our dedication to sharing reward based training information.
We want articles that are 500 to 1,200 words. We’ll create the imagery for your post, unless you have a specific graphic that is necessary for your article to make sense. We will include a short bio at the end of every article with a link back to your website and/or social media accounts, so please include a bio in your submissions. We do not pay for blog articles, but this is a great way to get in front of new people, increase your reach, and share your thoughts.
Please email me to propose a blog post topic or a series of blog posts. I’m open minded. Jenn’s open minded. Reach out and give us your thoughts.
To get things rolling, I’ll be posting guest blog articles starting today from a few of our friends that we reached out to a couple of weeks ago. We’re very excited to share this information from all over North America with our readers. Jenn and I will continue to write as well, so be on the lookout.
