Introducing the Good Dog of the Week Awards

The Good Dog Blog will be awarding a weekly “Good Dog Award” to those doing good things for dogs.

This week’s award goes to Layla, a seven year old Border Collie, and her person Irena Ištvánková, from the Czech Republic. Layla and Irena excel in the sport of Canine Freestyle and are Champions of Dog Dancing in the Czech Republic. They recently competed at Crufts, the world’s biggest dog show held this year in Birmingham, England.

Layla and Irena came in 3rd place with their routine to AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell.” And they are fantastic in their creative teamwork! In addition to representing the Czech Republic at international competitions, Irena is also a dog trainer that helps families with dogs build stable relationships.
