Grooming Your Pet

Part 5 in the How to Be a Responsible Pet Owner Series

Grooming Your Pet

Pets get dirty just like we do, so they need to be groomed. Grooming will include brushing your pet’s coat, trimming your pet’s fur, trimming their toenails, and giving them a bath.

Short haired dogs and cats should be brushed at least once or twice a week. If they have long hair or if they are shedding, you’ll need to brush them more often.

Bathe your dog when it’s dirty or take them to a groomer. You’ll also want to have their toenails trimmed.

Having a pet is a big responsibility. Our pets rely on us to take care of them and keep them safe. “How to Be a Responsible Pet Owner” shows how to love and respect your pet. Teach your kids what it really means to be a pet owner.
