I am very excited to be speaking at the upcoming BlogPaws Conference 2017, in Myrtle Beach, SC. For the pet bloggers in attendance, I’ll be speaking on how to grow and engage your audience with email marketing. “Email Isn’t Dead” is scheduled for Saturday, May 20th from 10:30 am to 11:45 am.
As an avid online marketer for more years than I care to count, I’m really looking forward to speaking to my fellow pet bloggers at the conference. Bloggers can’t rely on their audience to keep visiting their blog. They need to pull them in with email. Here’s a run down of what I’ll be sharing:
- basic email design
- designing email with mobile in mind
- email best practices
- advanced techniques: segmentation, automation, autoresponders, and list maintenance
- review of email systems
- 25 ways to grow your email list
- using email + social media
- how to source free professional images for your emails (and blog posts!)
I’ll take questions from the audience at the end of the presentation and offer up a couple of surprises and prizes during my talk. My presentation slides will be available to those in attendance.
I’m also excited to be participating in the One-on-One Sessions this year. One-on-Ones are 10 minute private meetings where you have the change to discuss your business with one of the speakers at the conference. Sign up for my One-on-One and we can talk about anything and everything from email marketing to WordPress to online marketing to our pets. You’ll get the floor and my undivided attention. There are 8 slots available to One-on-One with me on a first come first serve basis. One-on-Ones take place on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:15 pm.
If you’re not familiar with BlogPaws, it a 3-day jam-packed event for professional pet bloggers. The pet-friendly conference invites all pets everywhere during the conference and ends with a gala Nose-to-Nose awards ceremony, with you guessed it, a red carpet for all the pets to walk down. BlogPaws connects brands to bloggers and those who want to monetize, form relationships, and turn a passion for pets into a way to make money. For the 2017 Conference the Cat Writers’ Association Conference will join BlogPaws for special sessions and their awards banquet.
BlogPaws will be held Thursday, May 18th through Saturday, May 20, at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel in Myrtle Beach, SC. Join me for a one-of-a-kind conference experience and bring your pet along.
