As I sit contemplating my first experience with a BlogPaws conference, I’m honestly not sure where to begin. From a Great Dane in a pink tutu to Jay Baer in a purple suit to cats in sunglasses to a red carpet experience that would rival the Oscars, it was something you had to see to […]
There are several tried and true rules for housetraining success. The first rule is supervision, supervision, supervision. Especially during the first few weeks, you need to have your eyes on your dog at all times. If you can’t supervise your dog, they should be in their crate.
What does it mean to be a responsible pet owner? Our pets rely on us to take care of them and keep them safe. They can’t talk, so it’s our job to be a responsible pet owner and give them what they need to be happy and healthy. Part of being a responsible pet owner is […]

Jenn Merritt, BS, CPDT-KA, and Kim Merritt-Butler grew up loving dogs. Jenn became a professional dog trainer and Tellington TTouch practitioner and Kim became a serial entrepreneur. Last year they got their heads together and came up with a new way to approach dog training for families. Good Dog in a Box was born.
Their mission is to keep dogs and kids safe through education, awareness, and advocacy. They want to reduce the number of family dogs surrendered at animal shelters by promoting positive, reward based training techniques that are family and kid friendly.
Jenn and Kim want everyone that owns a dog to have fun and enjoy their furry companion. Together, we can make a difference.
At Good Dog Pro we offer products, resources, and curriculums for professional dog trainers, dog walkers and sitters, animal shelters, and humane educators that promote positive reinforcement dog training, dog bite prevention, dog safety, and humane education to improve the lives of dogs and their people.
